Massage, Yoga Therapy, & Pelvic Care

“We are volcanoes. When we women offer our experience as our truth, as human truth, all the maps change. There are new mountains.” ~ Ursula K. Leguin

Massage

Note: Due to an injury, I am not currently accepting massage clients. Hopefully this is only a temporary change!

Whether you are in pain, looking to relax, or want to support your everyday wellness, this blended modality massage is for you. Based on your unique needs, this massage can include myofascial release; the long, calming strokes of Swedish massage; trigger point therapy; sports massage; and elements of shiatsu.

Yoga Therapy

An integrated therapy that empowers you to meet your unique goals: mind, body, and spirit. From anxiety and trauma, to injury rehabilitation, to living with chronic conditions, yoga therapy combines science and tradition to help you thrive. This modality uses the poses, practices, and philosophies of yoga, as well as massage, self-exploration, and self-care techniques. Each person’s therapeutic journey will include an in-depth intake, assessments, a targeted plan, tailored 90-minute sessions, and customized home practices.

Areas of Focus

While all offerings can be tailored to your individual needs, I specialize in two unique areas of treatment. Read more about each to decide if they are a good fit for you:

Yoga Instructor, Licensed Massage Therapist, C-IAYT Yoga Therapist

My passion is combining science and tradition to help each person thrive through a combination of massage and yoga therapy. When individual humans grow and heal, so does our world.

I draw on massage, self-study, and the traditions of yoga to help people move toward specific goals – whether physical, emotional, psychological, or spiritual. Some people come to me for injury recovery, others to cope with anxiety or chronic stress, or sometimes just because they want to explore themselves more deeply.

When I am not working or practicing, you can find me playing with my preschooler, walking with my dog, or checking out way more library books than I can possibly read before they are due.

My background and experience include a Master’s degree in Marriage, Couples & Family Counseling; 500 hours of yoga teacher training, 85 hours of prenatal-specific yoga training, and 800 hours of yoga therapy education; as well as specialized training in pelvic floor health, pelvic massage, postpartum core health, and postpartum yoga.
